Best Dog Parks in Anaheim

Where to Take Your Pooch in Anaheim

Anaheim, California is filled with scenic public parks and green open spaces. If you’re one of the many dog owners renting apartments in Anaheim, you’re always looking for great pet-friendly places in the neighborhood. You and your dog can enjoy some blissful days in the sun together when you check out these amazing dog parks in Anaheim.

Olive Hills Dog Park

A gorgeous and compact community for dogs, Olive Hills has everything you’d expect from a neighborhood dog park. They have separate caged-in areas for large and small dogs, so nobody gets pushed around. As an owner, you’re free to hang up your leash and watch your dog run around. The pens are made up of different kinds of surfaces, including grass, dirt, and even Astroturf. Regardless of what you and your furry friend like to do, there’s something here for everyone in the community. If your dog is overly shy, you might want to avoid the peak times such as right after work and on the weekends. This place tends to fill up fast.

La Palma Dog Park

A cozy neighborhood staple, La Palma Dog Park attracts a wide variety of different folks and their dogs. It features a couple of decently sized pens for small and large dogs. If you live nearby, you’ll probably see a lot of familiar faces. This is really a community hangout for neighbors to get together and give their dogs some well-deserved exercise. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. Be prepared to spend some time looking for a space nearby. This spot tends to be popular and parking spaces are limited.

Fullerton Pooch Park

Right on the edge of Anaheim, Fullerton Pooch Park is an idyllic place to spend some time outside with your four-legged pal. The caged areas are mostly filled with cement and dirt, and a larger area with woodchips for some extra privacy. This park features a small fountain with water bowls for the dogs. It’s important to stay hydrated with all of the physical activity going on. Overall, this park is known for being well maintained and accommodating for dogs of all sizes.

Wildcatters Dog Park

Further north in Brea, CA, Wildcatters Dog Park is a great place to try if you’re willing to go a little bit out of your way. This park is well worth the trip. It has considerably more space than some of the other parks on this list. Dogs of all sizes love to run for hundreds of yards without a second thought. It has a little more of a come-as-you-are vibe. There aren’t any doggy bags or water bowls, but rather just a large rugged piece of land for everyone to enjoy.
